Declaration

film director

“This movie is the result of twenty-four hours spent on the border at Ventimiglia, where I freely recorded images and sounds of what was happening in front of my eyes. When I look at and listen to the material again, one phrase in particular seems to be the thread around which the entire problem can be wound: ‘Take pictures, c’mon take pictures. Show all this to the world.’ An African guy says this, making the video camera a witness. Migrants, journalists, photographers, police, citizens, activists, tourists, volunteers: everybody on the rocks, everybody at the border, everybody searching for their own role within the ‘show.’”
