Henry and Dianne, both thirty years old, must come to grips with the reality of their life as a couple: the years of their youth, made of adventures, new encounters and a future waiting to be discovered, are over. What awaits them is the nightmare of normality and adulthood: a house in the suburbs, one or more children, and a dog to walk. But is this really what they want? Rafael Palacio Illingworth
Rafael Palacio Illingworth spent his youth in Mexico and Colombia before moving to Los Angeles, where he studied at the American Film Institute Conservatory. An enthusiast of the visual arts (above all, painting and sculpture), he has directed the shorts El mago (2002), Guerrilla Garden (2010) and Man in a Room (2010), which competed at the Venice Film Festival. In 2009, he debuted in feature films with the dramedy Macho. At present, he is developing his latest project, entitled El gaucho.

“The visual approach to the story will mirror the themes reflected in it. It is at the same time serious and playful. With the camera being the host of the spectacle rather than a protagonist in it. Long takes, traditional camera moves, editing for story. A style that is fearless and elegant. I want this film to be a cathartic experience for the audience. By seeing flawed characters making stupid mistakes and becoming stronger as a result, I’d like them to realize that they are not alone in their struggles and that being happy is hard work for everybody.”
