Declaration

film director

“The whole shooting of Nana has been made on my own with a handheld camera. I started filming home videos with Hilaria without further intention. Later on, I decided to make a film about her continuing with this way of filming, because I consider it the only way of portraying our intimate relationship. The structure of the film has been constructed during the process of making it. […] The images I made of Hilaria show the physical, social and cultural distance between us, and through the lens, I have had a new look of her and me and everything that has to do with ‘her’ and ‘me’.”
