Images from another planet. A far away world, seemingly identical to ours in every way but for one: the constant daylight shining all the time, everywhere. Every two thousand years, though, the planet plunges into darkness. “I was in Greece and I happened to witness a magical event, which immediately reminded me of one of Asimov’s stories that always enthralled and perturbed me. I knew I had to get back to that place to take some footage, it became a fixed idea. Two years later, I managed to put together all the equipment. I flew back to Cephalonia, rode a scooter for two hours, climbed up a steep path through the underbrush, and found myself perched on a cliff by the sea, waiting… All this to make a short sci-fi film about a herd of goats crossing a desolate bay at sunset. Sometimes you have to chase your visions.”
