Declaration
film director
“The beginning of everything was a chance encounter with a Taiwanese youth. While staring at him, I gradually wanted to make a film with him. I found a feeling of ‘loss’ in the youth. What he has continued facing in the modern cities of Asia, it is nationality and history, their past and present, and fear of identity. This film was made as if to draw his portrait. The portrait has been redrawn many times in the process of shooting. When you have finished watching it, I hope that you feel as if finding a friend who you knew from the old days.”
