Declaration

film director

“This is a story that began in 2011. That year, in response to ‘Occupy Wall Street’, Hong Kong had its first ‘Occupy Central’. This tale was directly inspired by the repercussions and discussions generated from that movement, combined with the later Sunflower Student Movement and the Umbrella Revolution. Pseudo Secular is ultimately a story about Hong Kong, and a culmination of my observations and reflections during these past few years. I am concerned with how people cope with living in such a rapidly developing city. I want to portray their inner thoughts and feelings through floating landscapes.”
