Natsumi is a college student who recently bought a used tape recorder to transfer a few old VHS tapes to DVD. She finds a tape in the device and watches it, falling victim of the curse of an evil spirit called Sadako. Meanwhile Suzuka, a high school student, starts having weird dreams and is lured to a house at the end of the street where a family was brutally massacred years before. There she runs into the ghosts of Kayako and her son Toshio. When Natsumi and Suzuka finally meet, they realize that the only way of breaking their curses is to make their respective ghosts, Sadako and Kayako, confront and destroy each another. All they have to do is play the tape inside the house and wait for the match to begin… [rm]
