STUDIO
by Francesco Dongiovanni
Country: Italy
Year: 2016
Duration: 20'

In an artist’s studio, the painted faces and figures literally take form. While at work, the eye and the hand seem to follow each other and intertwine. The film image and the painting reflect each other, call to each other, overlap. [rm]

Declaration

film director

“I wanted to film Pierluca Cetera, an artist and a friend, while he was working in his studio. I was curious to see how his figures and bodies are created. We met up while he was making a piece for an exhibition in China. This film sprang from that meeting: dancing together and tailing each other.”
