UN INFERNO

There is a living microcosm inside a small tattoo parlor near Naples. Little by little, the chats and the confessions between the tattoo artists and his customers reveal their various personalities. Each exchange like a brush stroke on the tableau of this genuine place, with its legends and rules, revealing the soul of a profession that creates intimacy from pain, blood, and stories. [cg]

“The tattoo artist accompanies us on the discovery of a lively and chaotic world. An ‘inferno’ populated with contradictory characters, filled with revealing and sometimes grotesque stories about living on the line. It’s not a judgment. What’s infernal is the condition that makes even the crudest side of existence part of our attachment to life. Everyone has already been judged, and sometimes even condemned, but it’s in this context that we can see the tenacity and enthusiasm of those who are still fighting. The events follow one another cyclically, like the film’s structure: without any pauses and with a circular ending underlining this continuity, like a day that doesn’t end and starts over the same every time.”
