Declaration
film director
“I was born and raised in the same places where I shot the film, so seeing nature as a simple landscape, lifeless and deadly, was rather challenging. That’s why it’s not easy for me to share people’s typical idea of nature, especially if they never had anything to do with it: they associate it to a more or less generic idea of freedom. But even if we assumed that freedom existed and that it was desirable, there would still be a price to pay and compromises to make.”
