35° TORINO FILM FESTIVAL
TFFDOC/VIAGGIO

FOR NOW

FOR NOW
by Herman Asselberghs
Country: Belgium
Year: 2017
Duration: 32'

A succession of horizontal panoramas: well-known places alternate with others which have become familiar in recent years for the political value they have assumed. Lewinsky Park, Maximilian Park, Habima Square, Lion Square, Zuccotti Park, Times Square roll past on the screen, alternating with bucolic landscapes on the shores of the Mediterranean. What we see never changes: people who cross those spaces, who stop, who somehow make time pass. And time is what is shared by refugees and normal citizens, tourists and activists, Israelis and Palestinians, Europeans and Americans: the geographical and human differences diminish, doubts and questions arise about what we mean by diversity.
