LES AFFAMÉS

THE RAVENOUS
by Robin Aubert
Country: Canada
Year: 2017
Duration: 96'

Something alarming is going on in an isolated village in the North of Quebec: the residents have suddenly been turned into fierce and aggressive creatures which attack their own families, their friends, and anyone who comes in range. But not all the inhabitants have been affected by this metamorphosis into relentless bloodthirsty zombies: armed to the teeth, a few survivors are hiding in the forests surrounding the town. They are driven by the need to unite against the looming threat and, above all, the need to save their own lives.

Declaration

film director

“I truly believe in mankind. But at the same time, I’m terrified when rage and hate get the best of us. This film echoes the current state of western societies. A lot of filmmakers privileges social drama to reflect today’s Zeitgeist. Making a zombie movie was my own personal way of tackling these issues.”
