LICK IN THE PAST

LICK IN THE PAST
by Laure Prouvost
Country: UK
Year: 2016
Duration: 8'

A group of teenagers from Los Angeles, hanging out in a parking lot, driving around, making out, eating candies, or having ice creams. Fun and sweet moments alternated with pastoral images of farm animals, mollusks and bugs in contrast with the cemented landscape of an American metropolis. The images are accompanied by an original hip hop track composed by the producer Wynn. The installation-short recaptures her previous work We Will Go Far (2015); it was part of her first solo exhibit A Way to Leak, Lick, Leek at the Farenheit/Flax Foundation in Los Angeles.
