Declaration
film director
“Sequence Break is a film about the fear of change, and commitment, and adulthood. Oz has only ever known the world of his shop. With that about to be gone, where does he fit in the world? Tess is his life and his human love, but his passion (a lustful one, at that) is that of the arcade. […] Must he sacrifice one to have the other? Horror films have a unique ability to take pure metaphor and wrap it in a package that hits us straight in the gut. As layered as the meaning is in Sequence Break, it is also visceral. […] People are complicated creatures, and I wanted to make the audience struggle with their reaction to Oz’s strangely sexual journey in this film.”
