Ethan Hawke

Ethan Hawke (Austin, TX, USA, 1970) is an actor, writer, director and screenwriter. He made his film debut with the 1985 science-fiction feature Explorers, and then he appeared in numerous films before taking a role in Reality Bites (1994) for which he received critical praise. Hereafter he worked on eight different films together with Richard Liklater, including one full trilogy and Boyhood, one project that shot over the course of twelve years. He was nominated for four Academy Awards, is an author of three novels, and one graphic novel and he appeared in many theater productions. He directed feature films. His Seymour: An Introduction was listed by the National Society of Film Critics as one of the best docs of 2015. Blaze is Ethan Hawke’s fourth feature film.
