In the lost world, after a four months drought, an ordinary man randomly gets picked to be the guest of a satirical radio show in order to represent the emptiness of an everyman from the street. This is the story of Jamal Afina, a man on the verge of death, who reveals an extraordinary journey of a life looking for his lost paradise, from Eastern European theatres to training camps in the Sahara desert, and from the United States of 9/11 until the drained and polluted lost world. But the life story of this seemingly regular man will inspire many listeners. The whole world will tune in to listen to the tales of Jamal Afina.

Declaration

film director

“The story of Afina is contemporary and engaged because it is the story of each of us here and now, it is a second opportunity for all of humanity to reflect and understand where we have lost our humanity. Where and at what point of our individual and collective journey have we sacrificed the last chance of salvation. I feel the film able to touch, even if minimally, anyone.”
