Nina and Jago are brother and sister, accomplices in a bond that has left them estranged. After spending almost two years apart in which they disappeared from each other’s lives, they meet again in the wake of their mother’s death. Over the course of one evening, which will represent their last brief encounter and what will become a place suspended in time, they will put an end to their relationship.

Sara Dresti
Sara Dresti (1995) got her three-year degree in media design and multimedia arts from the NABA Academy of Fine Arts in Milan in 2017. Over the years, she developed several photography projects and, while she was in college, she gained experience as director of photography for several short films. She made Col tempo in 2017 as her final thesis project.

“Col tempo explores the dimension of nostalgic feelings through the story of the end of a relationship, not between lovers but between siblings. The erasure of the other in order to save a part of oneself that would otherwise be destined to suffer. The intention behind this short isn’t to tell a big story, but to represent the immobility of a relationship on the verge of dying, the static nature of a condition of pain.”
