Andreas Prochaska

Andreas Prochaska (Vienna, Austria, 1964) worked as editor on a number of films, such as Michael Haneke’s The Castle and Funny Games. His breakthrough came with The 3 Mail Robbers, which followed by a number of TV films and episodes of various crime series. In 2006 his Dead in 3 Days was the most successful Austrian film at the box office and in 2008 he made the sequel. In 2010 the comedy The Unintentional Kidnapping of Mrs Elfriede Ott won numerous awards, such as the Austrian Film Award for Best Movie, Best Screenplay and Best Music, as well as two Romy Awards for Best Cinema Director and Best Screenplay. In 2012 his TV film A Day for a Miracle won him the Bavarian TV Award for Best Directing; it was also nominated for the Grimme Award and won the International Emmy Award 2013.
