DIE MACHT DER GEFÜHL

DIE MACHT DER GEFÜHL
by Alexander Kluge
Country: Germany
Year: 1983
Duration: 112'

Fifteen paintings, fifteen fragments of fictional films arranged like moments of a documentary set behind the scenes of an opera house; fragments of movies in the history of German cinema and images of cultural and political figures from the time come together in a reflection on melodrama, its roots, and its way of conveying feelings as a form of representation of power.
