Reed is tormented by an obscure urge and a mysterious voice tells him how he can rid himself of this dangerous compulsion. He prepares everything meticulously. He kisses his wife and baby goodbye and seemingly heads away on business, with a plan: check into a hotel and order a call girl to satisfy his murderous tendencies. Set over the course of one night, soon the power dynamics between Reed and the prostitute Jackie fluctuate as the story twists and turns into a deranged nightmare.

Nicolas Pesce

Nicolas Pesce (New York, USA, 1990) graduated from New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts. He directed popular music videos for Tei Shi and Show Me the Body before he started making feature films. His debut film The Eyes of My Mother was premiered at the 2016 Sundance Film Festival. He has also done video work for artists Snoop Dogg and The Black Keys. In 2013, Pesce developed an animated series starring Malcolm McDowell, J.K. Simmons, and Colin Quinn. Piercing (2018) is his second feature.
