Thirty-two fragments that reveal, without a precise chronology or solution of continuity, the life of one of the most extraordinary piano talents of the twentieth century: Glenn Gould (1932-1982). Gould has an exceptional technique and a great modernity of interpretation and reinterpretations of the classics; it has been an enigmatic and elusive personality. In 1964 his decision to withdraw definitively from his concert career caused a sensation. He decided to dedicate himself exclusively to studio recordings, which he understood as the most effective way to penetrate the meaning of music. Thirty-two small films (such as Bach’s Goldberg Variations) which, like flashes, illuminate the biography of the musician without historicizing pretensions but with vibrating suggestions such as haiku.
