Declaration

film director

“Ultima cassa comes from meeting people who live in Sulcis [and] from the need to dedicate them a space in a fleeting world, to stop and slow down time, to linger in those long silences that speak to us, to make them ours once again. My wish is to retain the spectators’ attention on details of reality that bring them back in touch with the earth. My experience spending months in close contact with the shepherds and hunters of that rich yet poor island that is Sardinia brought me to measure myself with these issues and made me want to transmit them to viewers through this film.”
