A fourteen-year-old kid, a young woman who smuggles medicines up and down the Italian border with France and a bizarre American tennis teacher who dreams of being a painter. Their lives turn when they come across an illegal migrant. All together, they come up with an absurd plan to help him sneak across the border.

Orso Miyakawa (München, 1992) spent his childhood between Turin, Tokyo and Milano. In Paris he approached videomaking, then he moved to the USA and earned a BFA in filmmaking at the New York Film Academy in 2015. He worked on over thirthy productions (feature films, tv shows, shorts, videoclips) in Europe, USA and India. His short films were presented at numerous film festivals including Turin and Venice.

Peter Miyakawa
Peter Miyakawa (München, 1995) grew up between Turin, Tokyo and Milan. After artistic studies in Milan, he moved to California and in 2018 graduated in cinema and psychology from University of California. He worked in several short-films as a director, writer and actor and in 2018 he moved back to Italy. In 2019 the two brothers codirected their first feature film Easy Living.

“We grew up spending our summers in a small sea side town on the border between France and Italy. A border which over the years we witnessed changing to become, today, a place of wait and tension for many. In this movie, we wanted to transport our childhood days into today’s reality. In order to do so, we asked our little brother to play the part of Brando, a kid whom’s naif, spontaneous and adventurous glance becomes the point of view on the story of an illegal migrant and three of his friends who decide to help him sneak across the border. Not driven by charity, but by friendship.”
