ISLAND OF LOST SOULS

ISLAND OF LOST SOULS
by Erle C. Kenton
Country: USA
Year: 1932
Duration: 70'

Oceania. A castaway is left on an island inhabited by strange, bearded, and stuttering men and by just one girl, as sinuous as a panther. This is where Dr. Moreau, affable and menacing, lives and conducts his mysterious experiments. Agonizing screams can often be heard coming from the “house of pain.” Based on the novel by H. G. Wells, a sensuous and brutal horror movie, dominated by the scientist-master-god Charles Laughton. Banned at the time, then often underestimated.
