Bianca Valentino is hired to work on a night shift at a pediatric clinic. She soon finds out that the institute hides a terrifying secret linked to its past as a psychiatric hospital. The ghost of a boy wanders the corridors taunting Bianca, who starts losing her mind.
Milena Cocozza began working in film at a young age, with a long apprenticeship and a prestigious career as an assistant director, which garnered her great experience in managing sets and a growing passion for directing actors. She has worked with many directors, including Stefano Sollima on Romanzo criminale, Roan Johnson, Claudio Cupellini, Eros Puglielli, Ivano de Matteo, Ivan Cotroneo, and Davide Marengo, but without a doubt her most successful and long-lasting collaboration was with the Manetti Bros. In fact, her debut feature film, Letto N. 6, was produced by Antonio and Marco Manetti, along with Carlo Macchitella.
Letto N. 6 (2019)
“My approach, both personal and as a director, was to recount a supernatural story by placing it in a realistic and plausible context. Today’s Rome, very credible characters, the theme of maternity, and the employment obstacles a woman must overcome if she wants to save her job and her career, as well. But also human weakness and the damage, sometimes irreversible, that this weakness entails. All this, set in a “genre” which, despite its recognizable stylistic features, was a very interesting challenge, in order to represent the stereotypes through which the story evolves.”
