SI PUÒ FARE! - DA CALIGARI AGLI ZOMBIE

NOSFERATU, EINE SYMPHONIE DES GRAUENS

NOSFERATU, EINE SYMPHONIE DES GRAUENS
by F.W. Murnau
Country: Germany
Year: 1922
Duration: 94'

In his wake, he brings the plague, mice, madness, blood, death, or, worse, the nocturnal life of the undead: his name is Orlok but it’s pronounced Dracula. Taking inspiration from the novel by Bram Stoker (for which he didn’t have the rights and thus had to change the names and places), Murnau brings horror to the screen like a symphony in black and white, with looming shadows and evasive reality, seduction, and repulsion. The hook-like figure of Max Schreck, his pointy ears, his skull-like face, have left their mark on film history.
