In 1985, Mark Patton starred in what later generations would dub “the gayest horror movie ever made,” A Nightmare on Elm Street 2: Freddy’s Revenge by Jack Sholder. The sequel made Freddy Krueger into a pop-culture icon, but Patton was never heard from again. After thirty years of living in near-obscurity, Patton is back to talk about how his American dream became a nightmare during the homophobic AIDS crisis in Hollywood and why had to give it all up.

Tyler Jensen
Tyler Jensen is a director and editor living in Brooklyn, New York. His short-form narrative, documentary and music videos work have been featured on “Pitchfork,” “Vice,” “Boiler Room,” “Out,” “The New Yorker,” and at the Walker Art Center. Scream, Queen! My Nightmare on Elm Street is his first feature-length documentary.

Roman Chimienti is a director and sound engineer based in New York. His extensive audio work has been featured in numerous festivals worldwide, and his audio portfolio includes a number of recognized productions including Gold Star (Victoria Negri, 2017), Last Supper (David Wexler, 2018), Happy Birthday to Me (Michael Reilly, 2018), 30 Years of Garbage: The Garbage Pail Kids Story (Jeff Zapata, Joe Simko, 2017), and the feature documentary Madonna and the Breakfast Club (Guy Guido, 2019).
