THE REVENGE OF FRANKENSTEIN

THE REVENGE OF FRANKENSTEIN
by Terence Fisher
Country: UK
Year: 1958
Duration: 90'

The second of five movies Fisher dedicated to the story of the Baron, and perhaps the most beautiful of the series. After escaping the guillotine, the ingenious and monomaniacal scientist proves to be an absolute protagonist, a dark antihero who, under humanitarian guise, doesn’t hesitate to commit the worst crimes; he steals corpses, he transplants organs, he substitutes brains. Cushing is magnificent in his indifference to the suffering of his “reconstructed” beings. A surprise finale closes the creator-creature circle.
