Akram and Azar are sisters. Both lie about their brother's disappearance, telling everyone he fled to Germany. Day after day the lie becomes bigger and more unmanageable, leading everyone to a dark and mysterious destiny.

Kaveh Mazaheri
(Tehran, Iran, 1981) graduated in railway engineering at the University of Science and Technology of Iran and later he started filmmaking as self-taught. Since 2005 he has made numerous short and documentary films presented at several international film festival: Retouch (2017), which was a great success in Iran, was presented and awarded at the Tribeca Film Festival, the Krakow Film Festival and the Palm Spring Film Festival. Botox is his first feature film.

“The film was inspired by a real character that I lived with for years. Akram is a woman with autism who has been constantly humiliated by her brother. I always wondered what would happen if one day Akram could be repaid: Botox comes from here.”
