Lena’s marriage is challenged, when her husband falls ill. He asks her to help him to die self-determined. An unbearable burden or a final proof of love? Although her desperation is rising Lena cheers him. She fosters him, crosses borders. A loving fight between having to let go and wanting to hold on.

Marcus Hanisch

(Hoyerswerda, East Germany, 1984) took part in the top qualification program TP2 Talent Pool, studied directing at the German Film and Television Academy in Berlin and directed music videos, commercials and short films. Some of multi-award-winning short films – Breath Dodging, Flying, Love Note and Q: Ghostly remote effect – were shown at over 100 festivals. He is working for the European Film Market at the Berlinale since 2016. Since 2020 he has been a member of the jury at the SciFi Film Festival Berlin.
