È SOLO A NOI CHE STA LA DECISIONE

È SOLO A NOI CHE STA LA DECISIONE
by Isabella Bruno
Country: Italy
Year: 1976
Duration: 34'

“Both a militant and an amateur film, an independent movie in reduced format by a young feminist with a passion for movie cameras who, during the public debate on abortion, decided to personally take the word and make a pamphlet against the hypocrisy and violence of those who oppose women's free choice. A 'small' movie, invisible for over forty years, whose story is hard to reconstruct in the absence of its author, but which, for this very reason, says a lot about the forms of marginal cinema.” (Annamaria Licciardello).

Declaration

film director

“The topic of abortion is analyzed, first of all, by taking into account that it has become an up-to-date and even fashionable subject. The film does not intend to exploit these conditions, instead its goal is to offer a panorama of the causes, the positions of political parties and the Church, of the medical sector, of male public opinion, of the feminists from whose hands a struggle was snatched that they had begun when the problem of abortion was being ignored.” (Annabella Miscuglio, Rony Daopoulo, Judita Hribar, Kinomata - La donna del cinema, 1980)
