Jean lives as a hermit in a forest. From his cabin, he listens to and records the sounds of the animals that inhabit the surrounding area. One night, he hears the cry of an unknown animal. Along with Mana, a young girl who sings with the birds, he goes in search of the mysterious creature.

Judith Auffray
(1993) first studied painting and drawing at the École nationale supérieure des beaux-arts de Lyon then cinema at the HEAD - Geneva. Her first feature film, A House (2020), selected in several festivals (Cinéma du réel, FID Marseille) and awarded in Ji.hlava IDFF and Bosifest, was released in cinemas in France in November 2021. She entered Le Fresnoy in 2020 where she made two films, 7:15-Blackbird (Cinéma du réel, Brive film festival, Côté Court, Ji.hlava IDFF) and Men of the Night (San Sebastian IFF).
