Declaration
film director
“Dentro alle cose is a visual diary that, through the eye of the movie camera, captures what I experience every day in my work space deep in the Salento countryside, a place I built and in which I live, cultivating a creative dialogue between nature, art, and life. Everything is reduced to the essential, there is no spectacular event, no story to tell. It is the unspectacular, observed through the lens, that unveils its mystery. Night, day, darkness illuminated by the fire, dazzling light, rain pouring down, lightning without thunder, female appearances, time as it passes... My constant presence as an observer is both behind the movie camera and inside the movie. Shot in just a few days and edited over many months of enthusiastic work, Dentro alle cose is a search for self through film. But the opposite is also true: to find myself I 'played' with open eyes and ears, inside the things surrounding me. Dentro alle cose is me, but it could also be you – your ears, your eyes.”
