Kristina lives comfortably alone in a handsome old house. One of her two phones is reserved for clients, to whom she can propose classic sex or other services. Kristina’s mother accepts her having transitioned; and Kristina can understand why her mother still cannot accept her lifestyle. But her father never wants to see her again. One evening Kristina meets Marko in the doorway and few days later the two meet again. Marko was arriving to help a friend who lives in the apartment Kristina used to rent in her friend Jelena’s building. Coming back from a lakeside picnic on the grass with Jelena and her friend Zvonko, Kristina stops to visit a monastery where she meets Marko walking barefoot across her path in the field… Kristina tries to make sense of the repeated meetings with Marko. Could he be a figment of her imagination or are they kindred spirits?

Declaration
film director
“Five years ago, I was developing a thesis for my Ph.D. program and started looking for a person whose life and personality could inspire my research. My screenwriter, Milanka Gvoić, told me about Kristina whom she saw on YouTube. I watched that video and we agreed to find her and set up a meeting. Kristina was interested in what we proposed. Our subsequent meetings took place in a café, always with a list of prepared questions so we could get to know and understand her better. I quickly felt at ease when I realized that I could work with Kristina on her acting skills and she could play the lead role in my project. An important moment in the film’s development happened when Kristina invited us to her home, which she had decorated herself with a lot of dedication. Its authenticity and rich photogenic quality made a deep impression on me.”
