The story of a 32-year-old woman, the mother of a baby girl just a few months old. Suffering from deep depression, she threw herself from the fifth floor of a building but survived the fall. The movie is the story of a miraculous resurrection. Not just physical, but psychological, above all.

Francesco Patierno
(Naples, 1964) studied architecture before becoming the creative director of an advertising agency. He designed technical-scenographic sets, made TV reports for RAI, documentaries, video clips, and advertisements. His first short film Quel giorno participated at the Venice Film Festival and his first feature film Pater Familias (2002) at the Berlinale, in the Panorama section. In 2007, he directed Il mattino ha l'oro in bocca (The Early Bird Catches the Worm), in competition at Karlovy Vary, and the next year the series Donne assassine, in collaboration with Alex Infascelli. In 2011, with Cose dell'altro mondo (Things From Another World) he participated once again in Venice, as he did with the documentary La guerra dei vulcani (The War of the Volcanoes, 2012), dedicated to the love triangle between Rossellini, Magnani, and Bergman. After La gente che sta bene (People Who Are Well, 2014), he directed the documentary Naples ’44 (2017), presented at the Rome Film Fest and the winner of a Silver Ribbon. Always in 2017, DIVA! ha participated in Venice and won a Silver Ribbon for best documentary. In 2022, La cura, an adaptation of La peste by Albert Camus, participated at the Rome Film Fest.
