UGHETTO FORNO - IL PARTIGIANO BAMBINO
by FABIO VASCO
School is almost over and one afternoon Lorenzo and his friends gather near the bridge called Ughetto Forno to play a game of soccer. A blow to the head throws Lorenzo back in time to June 5, 1944 and he relives firsthand what Ughetto Forno had experienced. When he regains consciousness, Lorenzo is a new boy, aware of the heroic gesture made many years earlier by a boy like him. And face to face with the mural dedicated to Ughetto, he feels a bit like a hero himself.

Declaration
film director
“This short about Ughetto Forno tells an epic story that seems to encapsulate the struggle of the entire city of Rome during the nine months of Nazi occupation. A filmic game that will let viewers identify with the protagonist and live those moments of war, fighting for something in which they really believe: their own dreams. A work not only to remember young Ughetto on the ninetieth anniversary of his birth, but all of Italy, to remember and commemorate our freedom from Nazi occupation and the Fascist regime. We mustn't forget: today, we can be here freely because there were partisan fighters like Ughetto Forno.”
