Rosa commits suicide, which is the catalyst for the progressive physical and mental deterioration of Manuel, her elderly husband. Mario, his son, decides to bring him to live with his family, despite the fierce opposition of his new wife, who’s expecting a baby. Naia, his teenage granddaughter, is the only one who trusts Manuel, whose dementia is getting worse and worse by the day. The family’s new living situation will continue to go rapidly downhill, until it literally becomes a matter of life and death, leading to a dramatic denouement, which will take place on the hottest night of the century.

Spanish director and producer, well-known for his collaboration with Fernando González Gómez, after making several short films he made his debut in feature film, paired with González Gómez himself, with La pasejera (2021), presented in world premiere in Sitges, like the following Viejos (2022), the second film signed by the couple.

Fernando Gónzález Gómez
Spanish director and producer, famous for his collaboration with Raúl Cerezo, with his colleague he directed the successful La pasejera (2021), a great success in Spain. The film had its world premiere in Sitges as the next Viejos (2022), the couple's second work. Previously, after a long series of horror shorts, he had his feature film debut with Zombie World 2 (2018), then followed in 2020 by Estándar.
