Declaration
film director
“To distract myself from the mandatory celebrations of Vittorio's 70th birthday, I invented the need to make a movie that bears witness to this double birthday party. A movie that would take me outside the party. The first stage was on May 8, on board the ship Stradivari along the Po river. The second was on May 10, in my adopted city, Milan, at the home of Francesco Micheli. During the celebration, with the connivance of Andres Arce Maldonado and the more occasional help of Eugenio Lio, I kidnapped the guests from the flow of the party to film them. The result is an (impossible) portrait of Vittorio, choral and many-voiced.”
