DON JUAN DEMARCO

DON JUAN DEMARCO - MAESTRO D'AMORE
by Jeremy Leven
Country: USA
Year: 1994
Duration: 97'

An aging psychiatrist (Brando) agrees to see an aspiring suicide who presents himself as a masked swordsman (Depp) and calls himself “Don Juan DeMarco, the world’s greatest lover.” Their meeting will save both of them, leading the doctor into his patient’s fantastic world and helping him rekindle his relationship with his wife Marilyn (Dunaway). The only movie directed by Leven, a novelist, screenwriter, and also psychotherapist, is a sophisticated comedy that particularly comes  to life in the duets between Brando and Depp, both of whom have highly magnetic personalities.
