When her boyfriend Yuri goes back to Ukraine to be with his ailing father, 23-year-old Dakota navigates her precarious new life, surviving on her own in New York City. When Yuri goes missing, Dakota discovers that she is pregnant and must make a decision between holding on to the past and forging her own future.

Haley Elizabeth Anderson
(Houston) is a writer, filmmaker, and visual artist. Her short Pillars premiered at Sundance and won Best Short Film at AFI in 2020. Named one of “Filmmaker Magazine’s” “25 New Faces of Independent Film”, she directed her first feature in 2024, Tendaberry.
