by Álex Galán

Duration: 61

In Central Asia, Kyrgyz shepherds live conflicts with a ghost. In winter, with temperatures plummeting to minus twenty degrees, the last cabin in the valley awaits the arrival of an actor at the peak of his career (he is Darko Perič, from La casa de papel). From this will emerge a story of renunciation, of ties to the territory, of success, and its deconstruction.

Biography

film director

Álex Galán

(Spain) is a director, documentarian, and guide. Born in a small town in the Asturian mountains, he has traveled through South America, Asia, and Siberia, often to extremely cold places to film the lives of indigenous peoples. His first feature Savages (2022) depicted the conflict between shepherds and wolves and was among the most-watched documentaries in Spanish film history. With the following Il mulín (2023) he received a mention at the Gijón International Film Festival; with Territory he continued to explore human life in extreme and wild contexts.
