Alois Sandner Díaz
(Tenerife, Spain) after studying Social Sciences and Philosophy in Madrid and at the Sorbonne in Paris, he graduated from the directing department at La Fémis. He has directed several short films and is currently developing his first feature film, Words that Burn.

“I wrote Les Amours électriques as a way to explore all of these questions that crossed my mind, brightened me, made me suffer, and also made me laugh. This film is a personal journey that I believe is common to an entire generation; the story of a modern Cupid an algorithm, in his search for love on behalf of Anna, a young woman recovering from her breakup. At the heart of the film is this great paradox: the very instrument we use to find love is the tool of surveillance to which we willingly submit. We sell our souls for love.”
