Flora Lau
(Hong Kong) graduated from Columbia University and London Film School and mader her debut as a screenwriter, director and editor with the short film Dry Rain (2009), which won the Fresh Wave Best Film Award. The following Start from Zero (2012) is a documentary about Hong Kong history commissioned by CPH DOX Festival. Her debut feature Bends (2013) then premiered in Un Certain Regard at Cannes Film Festival, marking her entry onto the global stage. She is the first and only screenwriter-director, who has earned such freshman honour in the Hong Kong Films history. LUZ is her second feature.
