During the Allied trials of the 1940s, following the fall of the Nazi regime, American psychiatrist Douglas Kelly is assigned to evaluate the mental state of Nazi prisoners and determine their fitness to stand trial for war crimes. Overnight, Kelly is drawn into a tense psychological duel with Hermann Göring — Hitler’s right-hand man and one of the most feared figures of the era.

James Vanderbilt
(Norwalk, 1976) has largely developed his career as a screenwriter and producer. He has written the scripts for films such as Basic (John McTiernan, 2002), The Rundown (Peter Berg, 2003), Zodiac (David Fincher, 2007), The Amazing Spider-Man (Marc Webb, 2012) and Scream (Matt Bettinelli-Olpin,Tyler Gillett, 2022). In 2015 he directed his first feature film, Truth, which he also penned. The second, Nuremberg, had its premiere at the Toronto Festival.
