Private investigator Joe Diamond lives outside of time: in today’s Los Angeles, he behaves like a man from the past, as elegant as a 1940s detective, with a house above a garage, an office downtown, and a car that seem to have jumped right out of a classic Hollywood film noir. Intuitive and ironic, Diamond has an infallible instinct and often solves cases that remain mysteries to the police. Hired by a wealthy woman accused of murdering her millionaire husband, he’ll uncover a web of interests involving law firms and corrupt cops, all while having to come to terms with his family life – which he abandoned years ago and has since pushed to the back of his mind.
