In 1992, following the General Peace Agreement and the end of the Mozambican Civil War, the demobilisation of the troops and the handing over of their weapons begins. For a few days, soldiers and guerrilla fighters share a space of transition and change. Vicente, away from his village and his family for 16 years, tries to make sense of the moment he is living through in order to decide what to do with his future.

Declaration
film director
“This film sets out to explore the emotional honour of the fighters during those days. Through the character of Vicente, we travel through what many thousands of men went through in 1992 at the end of the Civil War, in a story that puts mutual aid, comradeship, survival and companionship to the test.”
