Declaration
film director
“The film is universal. I think it’s coming out at just the right time. I get the impression that gay or queer characters are being marginalised these days: cuts to funding, being sidelined on streaming platforms… and that simply didn’t exist when we started writing. Back then, we were actually in quite the opposite situation. This film comes along and doesn’t mince its words. Admittedly, there’s a risk of controversy, but our intention is focused on the positive, with values of kindness and living together. With a tone of humour that aims to be disarming. I think humour is the best weapon for dealing with the state of the world today.”
