Declaration
film director
“This is a very existential story, so I don’t think I could’ve explained it without humour. Life is a blend of joy, sadness and absurdity. Even though this is a film that talks about death, it is also about wanting to feel alive. It was never dark or clinical, it felt very vibrant. I also didn’t want to do anything that has spaceships or metals, where everything is shiny. It wanted it to feel domestic and grounded.”
