Declaration
film director
“In the documentary Pamela, A Love Story, I saw that Pamela Anderson was very brave. She had already pushed the boundaries of how women are supposed to age, which was inspiring. I could see that she wanted to express herself as an actress and was willing to show her vulnerability. She’s a tremendous writer and a lover of classic cinema, poetry, and philosophy. She also has an optimistic nature that strikes me as very similar to Shelly’s. It’s a lovely quality. I thought, ‘Oh my God, here’s my Shelly,’ and there was no one else who could play her.”
