Sergej Bodrov

Sergej Bodrov (Smakova village, 1948) graduated in screenwriting from the Pansoviet Film Institute (VGIK) in 1975. He worked extensively as a journalist and wrote numerous screenplays before becoming a director. In 1987 his Neprofessionaly won the prize of the jury at tha fifth Turin Film Festival. He is currently working in his own country and abroad, as exemplified by his collaboration in Alexander Rockwell's film, Somebody to Love, which he co-produced and wrote the screenplay for.
